I bought this for my nephew who has asthma Does a great job of describing and showing pictures of inhalers, talking about allergens, etc We talk a lot about this disorder, but not on a child s level so they can understand what is happening to them Very nice book.
Great book to help kids understand asthma.
Asthma is often minimized because so many children and adults suffer from it, however it is a serious disease accounting for 5 thousand deaths annually Per a pamplet in our doctors office I bought this for my daughter who does not have asthma so that she will have a better understanding of what her infant brother is going through She has enjoyed the book and has asked lots of great questions after it is read to her It helped us open up a dialogue with her to take down the mysteries Now she has a better understanding why I stop what I am doing when her brother starts coughing and or wheezing It helps.
Great basic introduction for someone with asthma Some things are a bit unrealistic and do not apply to ALL asthmatics.
